How to prep your artwork for custom foil printing

1. Designs for our foil art prints must be submitted as PNG files to allow for transparency. Your image should also have a resolution of 300 dots per inch (DPI).
2. Any areas defined as transparent in your artwork will show the paper’s gold or silver foil background.
3. It’s crucial that there are no white areas anywhere on your artwork, as these may cause unpredictable results. Please ensure your artwork contains coloured and transparent elements only.
4. If your artwork does contain any white areas, you can use the Magic Wand tool in Adobe Photoshop to make these areas transparent prior to uploading your image.

How to order custom foil prints through our manual order form

1. Log in to your Prodigi account.
2. Click ‘Create order’.
3. Select the country you want us to ship your order to. You can choose from our most popular shipping destinations shown at the top of the page or use the search bar to browse all countries.
4. Find the product you’d like to order by typing ‘Foil prints’ into the search bar or copying and pasting one of the following SKU prefixes:
   • ART-FOIL-GOL
   • ART-FOIL-SIL
   • FRA-CLA-FOIL
   • FRA-BOX-FOIL

   

5. Click ‘Add to basket’. To add another SKU to your basket, click ‘Add another product’ and repeat step four.
6. Click ‘Add image’ to upload your desired image — you must upload a PNG image file. Uploading any other file type will result in us not being able to produce your foil art prints. The resolution should be 300 dots per inch (DPI).

7. To configure your image, click ‘Edit’. You’ll then be redirected to our image editor where you can check the print quality of your image and make use of our alignment, scaling, and repositioning tools.

   

8. Once you’re happy with the position and placement of your image, click ‘Save’ and then ‘Continue’.
9. Fill in the details of your shipping destination address and then click ‘Continue’.
10. Review your order summary — if everything looks correct, click ‘Submit order’.
