How to create print on demand custom wall decals: A step-by-step guide

Before you start

Preparing your artwork

In order to turn your digital designs into custom wall stickers, you’ll first need to make sure your artwork meets the following file requirements:

  1. Design your artwork to match the size you're ordering. Make sure your artwork dimensions correspond to the wall decal SKU you're ordering to ensure proper scaling.

  2. Create a cutter line around your artwork. Use a spot colour and label it 'Cutter-Guide'. Please note: If you don't use a spot colour, the line will print on the final decal.

  3. Add at least 1.5mm bleed around the design. This will ensure that there are no white edges showing when it’s cut out.

  4. Note that transparent areas will appear white. Our wall decals are printed onto a polyester base. We cannot print white, so any transparent areas in your artwork will show as the material's white colour.

  5. Use RGB colours and save your artwork as a single-page PDF. We recommend using RGB colour mode for the widest colour gamut, and a resolution of 300dpi.

  6. Supply your file as a PDF with the cutter-guide in place. The cutter line must be included in the same file as your artwork, not as a separate file.

How to order custom wall decals

Manual order form

  1. Log in to your Prodigi account.
  2. Click ‘Create order’.
  3. Select the country you want us to ship your wall stickers to. You can choose from our most popular shipping destinations shown at the top of the page or use the search bar to browse all countries.
  4. Find the product you want to order by dropping the SKU prefix WALL-STKR into the search bar. We offer 24 different sizes ranging from A4 Standard to Mega XL.
  5. Click the ‘Add to basket’ button next to the product you want to order. To add another item to your basket, click ‘Add another product’ and repeat step four.
  6. Click ‘Add image’ and upload the print file you created earlier. Your image will be saved to your image library automatically.
  7. To configure your image, click ‘Edit’. You’ll then be redirected to our image editor where you can check the print quality of your image and make use of our alignment, scaling and repositioning tools.
  8. Once you’re happy with the position and placement of your image, click ‘Save’ and then ‘Continue’.
  9. Fill in the details of your shipping destination address, then click ‘Continue’.
  10. Review your order summary. If everything looks correct, click ‘Submit order’.

Place an order

Sales channels

  1. Create a product listing for your peel and stick wall decals directly within your desired sales channel.
  2. Log in to your Prodigi account.
  3. Select ‘Sales channels’ from the menu on the left-hand side.
  4. If you’ve already connected your sales channel, click ‘Configure’ in the sales channel tile. If not, connect your store to your desired sales channel, then follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. After clicking ‘Configure,’ you’ll see all of the product listings from your sales channel. Locate the wall decal product you want to set up for fulfilment with Prodigi. Ensure the toggle is set to ‘Fulfilled by Prodigi,’ then click ‘Configure’ next to the toggle switch.
  6. To set up your product for fulfilment with Prodigi, first select the product you want to configure for your sales channel listing. Find the product you want to order by dropping the SKU prefix ‘WALL-STKR’ into the search bar. We offer 24 different sizes ranging from A4 Standard to Mega XL.
  7. Next, you’ll be prompted to add an image. Click ‘Add image’, then upload a file from your device, Dropbox or your Prodigi image library. You can check the print quality of your image and make use of our alignment, scaling and repositioning tools. Once you’re happy with your image, click ‘Save’.
  8. When an order is received in your sales channel, Prodigi will automatically fulfil it. If you'd like to review orders before they are fulfilled, you can use our order pausing feature to pause and edit your orders by navigating to ‘Settings > Preferences’ in your dashboard.
