Prodigi: 2023 wrap-up & looking ahead to 2024
3 January 2024

It feels like just yesterday that we were all collectively cringing at our 2023 Spotify Wrapped, and yet here we are with our very first blog post of 2024.

In case you missed any of the big announcements we put out last year, here’s a quick rundown of all the highlights from 2023 and a sneak preview of what’s to come in 2024.

New products

Launching a record-breaking number of new products wasn’t on our 2023 bingo card, but we still ended up launching over 40 new print on demand products, including foil prints, woven homewares, skateboards and even tea towels.

Some of our most popular wall art products got an upgrade, too, with our collection of stretched canvas, framed canvas and box frames expanding to include extended and extra-large sizes.

Speaking of expansion, we also expanded our range of globally fulfilled products, enabling Prodigi clients to sell their products internationally while benefitting from greener logistics, cheaper shipping and faster delivery.

We plan to continue expanding our product offering in 2024 so that you can continue to grow and scale your own business, starting with making our glow in the dark posters available to our entire client base on 1 April.

Sales channel integrations

New products weren’t all we delivered in 2023. As part of our ongoing work to deliver new features and tools to help you run your business more smoothly, we introduced our new sales channel integrations to the Prodigi dashboard earlier last year.

This exciting update enables ecommerce sellers to easily connect their online stores directly to Prodigi and configure their print on demand products for automatic fulfilment, with the added bonus of receiving automatic shipping updates. celebratory mini wave

Within these integrations, we also built a brand-new image library that eliminates the need for repetitive file uploads as well as a new feature that allows you to store all of your saved items in one place.

These new additions will serve as building blocks for an even more advanced selection of tools and features set to launch later this year, including dashboard mockups and the ability to create and publish products within Prodigi, instead of having to go back and forth between various platforms.

We currently offer ecommerce integrations with Etsy, Wix, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento) and BigCommerce, with Shopify coming soon.

Support for PayPal

It’s always nice to have options, and that’s also true when it comes to choosing how you pay for your print on demand orders, which is why we added PayPal as an official payment method in November last year.

This update means you can now choose to either add your card details or link your PayPal account to your Prodigi dashboard. As well as providing an alternative payment method for clients who’d prefer not to share their card information with us directly, PayPal’s also ideal for businesses that trade globally due to its ability to process multiple currencies.

Other features we’re looking to provide support for in 2024 include single sign-on because, let’s face it, trying to remember various login details is never fun, and neither is repeatedly hitting the ‘Forgot your password?’ button.

Eco-friendly packaging

Sustainability’s always been a biggie for us. After recently eliminating clingfilm from our packaging materials, we decided to source an eco-friendly alternative to the plastic end caps we use on our cardboard poster tubes.

Made from paper pulp and exclusive to Prodigi, our new eco caps are fully recyclable and compostable, and will be phased in for packaging on all rolled prints and posters shipped from the UK in February, with roll-out in the US due to get underway in March.

This change will remove at least two million pieces of plastic from our supply chain, and we’re currently working on an initiative designed to encourage other print on demand providers (including our competitors) to adopt these caps to help further reduce plastic consumption across our industry, so watch this space!
